Improved outcomes with the Naltrexone implant may be physical because there is a more steady blood level and patients don’t forget their medicine.  The outcomes may also be partly psychological because once a patient receives their implant, they don’t have to decide every day whether or not to take their Naltrexone or consider relapsing.
