Magic dust drug/White Magic, What is it?

‘Magic drug’ or ‘white magic’ is a slang term for Mephedrone (4-methylmethcathinone) and a stimulant closely chemically related to amphetamines.

People who use mephedrone claim it gives a feeling of invigoration and that it increases the following emotions:

  • attentiveness
  • elation
  • exhilaration
  • talkativeness
  • responsiveness
  • sexual desire
  • alertness
  • confidence

However, using too much can be physically and psychologically addictive. Withdrawal can cause fatigue, irritability, pinpoint pupils, muscle aches and spasms, joint pain and heart failure.

Mephedrone usually occurs as a white powder or fine crystals.
